Pre-ko2m

Pre-King of 2 Miles Course

(Shooting, spotting and teamwork on Unknown Targets up to 1 Mile and beyond)

The Steyr Academy Pre-KO2M course is a two day course focused in extending the capabilities of those wanting to start Extreme Long Range ELR shooting for fun or for competition. This course is focused specifically around preparing shooters for King of 1 Mile and King of 2 Miles type of competitions. From one of the World's TOP ELR experts: our Academy Director Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta is the shooter that invented the King of 2 Miles and turned it in a global sport. This course will teach you skills not found elsewhere and learned only from running ELR matches all over the world.

This is not a course for the non-experienced long range shooter. In order to qualify for this course, you must be a graduate from SPR-2, SPR-3, or be an ELR competitor with a solid base in marksmanship and ballistics. It is strongly recommended that the shooter/spotter team come together to take the course at once, as one of the main focus is in spotting and teamwork. This is the perfect course to advance your shooting to become state-of-the-art, and also prepare you for ELR competitions. You will have the knowledge to keep developing your ELR individual skill, as well as your team’s skills once you return home.

You do not need a Steyr rifle to take this Pre-KO2M course. You can bring a rifle from any manufacturer, but it has to be capable of the following requirements: consistent sub-MOA performance and supersonic flight at 1 mile. The accepted rifle calibers are large magnums such as .300 WM, RUMs, wildcats and .338 LM, but 1 mile can also be achieved with some high speed 6.5mm. TIP: You learn most of these skills better with one of these calibers, rather than with a .50 BMG or .375 CT.
